Wednesday morning, the day of April fools.
Crows outside the window, loudly dispute the rain. Perhaps they resent being wet again. The daffodils are blooming, and dry brown shoots are turning green. The forsythia are in flower despite their lack of leaves, while the lilac buds are hidden among the burgeoning leaves.
The Old Farmer says that the 1st through the 3rd will be clear and chilly. The morning was wet on the first day, but clear and sunny now.
