From Budapest, city of legendary cafés and all-night parties, comes this very strange report. This seems a bit like the attempts in Austin, Texas (which claims to be “The Live Music Capital of the World”) to limit live music.
So, how does one sleep in a city that doesn’t? And is it necessary to be quiet in the morning so the musicians and party-goers can sleep in? Or are the musicians getting up in the morning to get to their day jobs, and do the party-goers go off to work as well?
There seem to be more issues lurking here than I care to consider tonight. It’s quiet here now that the festival season has ended.
