Some Gifts from the Yard, Part 1

From early spring through late fall, our yard presents us with numerous gifts to please the eye and entertain the senses. We share many of these with passing strangers, many of whom have commented on the pleasure they receive from the view as they drive or walk past our yard. I thought I should share some of these a bit more widely.

The slope from the front door to the area below the den is an ever-changing mass of colors. Currently white daisies and foxgloves cheerfully fill part of the view, but the purple coneflowers are about to claim their place.
