Life Goes On

It’s been nearly three months since I last posted anything here. It’s not that I haven’t had anything to say, it’s just that my words have been locked in my head by events of the world. Horrific human tragedies have occurred, ranging from drastic floods here in West Virginia and elsewhere to mass murders and warfare across the world. And in the midst of all this, a bitter political campaign seems ready to split this country into angry pieces. Whenever I sit down to create a post, to let some of the words that have been cluttering my head escape in written form, my fingers freeze above the keyboard, shamed by the triviality and irrelevance of what I have to say.

But even so, life goes on, and my mind bubbles with things that I want to say, if only so that at some later time I can go back to see a bit of what I was thinking, to look at the course of events in my life.

We have traveled, Lisa and I, and we have gardened, and we have had visitors, and I have stories and pictures I would have liked to share. So beginning now I will try again to resume this blog, try to post with some regularity. For myself, of course, but also just in case someone besides me is listening.
