A Drive Up the Ohio River

Along the Ohio River, 10 November 2016

Usually when we go for a drive we go east, into the mountains, perhaps to Blackwater Falls or Audra. But this week we wanted to go someplace we haven’t visited again and again. On Thursday we drove west, crossed the Ohio River and drove north into Wayne National Forest.

At a boat launch and picnic area near Sardis, Ohio, we found an antique merry-go-round, a relic of ancient playgrounds.

And watched some coal barges go by.
