Summer progresses in the backyard.
Our second species of Monarda is now blooming, too. The pale lavender flowers aren’t as dramatic as the scarlet, but I’m sure the bees, et al., will be equally pleased. Like Monarda didyma, M. fistulosa is commonly called “beebalm”.
